a little bit about this minor project of adolescent babble
A girl born & raised in Manhattan who was uprooted to a small town in the country for her high school years, and down the rabbit hole she went.
All names of people and places have been changed to protect the delinquents (though in certain cases, the person’s new name will reveal something about their true personality, or perhaps their physical appearance i.e., Penny Vachel, from the French for cow), and everything you read actually occurred in life, only it could have happened to any teenager in America. There is no need to reveal the identities of the people behind the stories. They are just archetypes of people you probably went to high school with yourself…. I am sure people who knew me then would easily be able to identify nearly all of the characters from the context of the notes and putting two and two together. I wish them luck. And hope they don’t hate me for posting their teenage selves filthy laundry onto the internet anonymously, peppered with its extremely foul language and poor grammar all the way.
